Shower Power!

So, I've found the solution to the burden of cleaning the shower:

1. Get one of those shower puffs--the ones you can use to lather yourself with suds. The puff is great for cleaning off grime. I use Shea Moisture Organic African Black Soap, so the soap scum is definitely more visible than if I used a conventional soap, like Dove or Irish Spring.

2. Spray your shower 30 minutes before you plan to take one with whatever you use to clean it normally--but I like to make sure there aren't harsh ingredients that I have to breathe in, so Mrs. Meyer's brand cleaners are my go-to for feel-good cleaning without the fear of toxic turmoil in my lungs.

3. Take a shower and dedicate 5 minutes to scrubbing off any residue with the shower puff. This will save you the hassle of having to worry about it at any other time, because you are keeping up with it every day or so. (The more attention you pay during a normal shower to the problem spots of soap scum build-up, the less you will even notice a need to clean the shower.)

4. Never worry about your shower/tub again! Keep in mind: Let your family know that the shower puff is used for cleaning so they won't mistake it for a body cleaning tool.

Hope you try, and I hope it helps. I love it. The less time I have to worry about the tub, the better. And for you eco-conscious people--you could do a pre-scrub before you turn the shower on to minimize water usage. :)
