Normally, Harrison and I try to get out of the house at least once per weekend. That may be a surprise to some people who are always on the go, but we bask in the comfort of our bungalow. It's hard to leave; we love staying home.
Yesterday, we had planned on visiting a couple of places: Auto Zone (my Check Engine light came on again), Which Wich (we love sandwiches), and Fry's (Harrison's been quite the researcher for HDTVs since he decided owning one was a necessity for us.)
Mark Murray, KVUE's weather guy, happened to be in Auto Zone when we walked in. Of course Harrison pulls his phone out and I think he is going to take a picture, but he was just verifying the station Mark works for on his phone. If he didn't have that phone, I think he would be lost without information always at his fingertips.
When we got to Fry's, we poked around in the movies. As all other journeys through the aisles end, we land in the TV section. About three hours earlier, Harrison mentioned that he had put off buying the TV until after January, when the prices drop after the holidays.
As we rounded the corner into the section, we made it maybe 5 feet when we spotted boxes of TVs strategically placed at the front. Harrison and I saw a 46" Sony 1080i HDTV, regularly priced at $2500, marked down to $999, only because it was last year's model. 30 seconds later, we were proud new parents.
