She Said: I did it!

This post was originally published on April 12, 2009.

I finally got Harrison on twitter.com. Check it
out.

He is so against social networking these days because he is like my dad. My dad doesn't understand why he has to buy movies on DVD if he already owns them on VHS. And I don't think he knows about BluRay. Shhhhh...He'll be pissed.

Harrison spent hours uploading and updating his MySpace, and was among the trendsetters with one of the first sites of this kind, Friendster. He doesn't want to start all over. He despises Facebook, he wouldn't let me explain Twitter for the longest and his last log in to MySpace was months ago.

Yesterday, I took the liberty of creating a Twitter for him, using his universal username--harrisonicus--and the same ol' password he's stuck with for years. I asked permission first, though, because I am not sneaky.

He said I could create one and be him, just to see what would happen...okay, maybe I am a little sneaky. Later, when we went to Jim's for a late, dirty-good dinner, I told him he should check it, just to see.

The site had been visited on his phone before, like two hours before, because he was filled with so much curiosity, unforced by me. He had already checked!

When I woke up this morning, he had updated three times...

Yep, I got him.
